About Mike's Whirlybirds

I've been installing whirlybirds and solar vents across Brisbane for over 10 years. Before that, I worked in the building industry, which gave me a solid understanding of roofs — the good ones and the bad ones — and why proper ventilation matters so much in Queensland's climate.

I started Mike's Whirlybirds because I kept seeing homeowners who'd been sold cheap, undersized units that rattled within a year, or been overcharged by companies with big overheads and zero personal accountability. I figured there was a better way to do it.

Every job I take, I'm involved from start to finish. I answer the phone, I do the assessments, and I'm on your roof for the install — usually alongside Rhys, my trusted coworker. Rhys works with me directly, trained the way I want the job done. No subcontractors, no surprises. If something's not right, I'll fix it — because my name is on every job we do.

I only install quality brands — Edmonds and Ventair — and I size every job correctly based on your roof space, not on what makes the invoice look biggest. I've turned up to plenty of jobs where the right answer was "you actually don't need more than two units." I'd rather tell you that upfront than have you question the bill later.
